Although he is a native of the city, Ron Murrdah is now coming up in those conversations when we mention who’s having the ‘motion’ in the streets. Talented all around the board, the entertainment mogul is growing his imprint in the Tri-State’s music scene, respectfully. Owning his very creative all-purpose studio in the city, Ron is welcoming to working with independent artists looking to fine tune their music or just record some new bops! How do you feel being a content creator / self-made entrepreneur coming from Philadelphia? I feel blessed to be able to do what I love knowing where I came from. I feel inspired to help others. 2. Why did you decide to start Murrdah Season Mondays? I decided to start Murrdah Season Mondays to create a buzz for the summer, to highlight some of my latest moves in the business. It started out as Instagram Freestyle every Monday and grew to where it’s at now! 3. What has been the most rewarding aspect of creating your own lane? What’s so rewarding about creating your own lane is that it’s no competition. Your job is to grow and progress. It’s no rush, you can take small steps and figure it out. It definitely takes hard work and dedication, but nothing’s more satisfying than when you see the outcome of your work, the fruits of your labor. Being able to have an idea and really bring it to life is priceless. 4. Tell us the services you offer and how people can contact you! I provide every service from DJ, party promo, artist management, social media marketing & promo, I also have a juice company Philly Phruit, so I offer jobs as well. I also help people buy and sell properties… Lastly, I do an event just for the youth called colors ‘4 kidz’. 5. Tell us why you’re the best choice for indie creatives in the Tri – State? I’m the best choice because I work hard every day for mine! That’s why they call me P. Litty, the hardest working man in the game … Also, I’m unselfish. I always extend my hand to help and support anyone in need on any level. 6. Describe your background in the music business? My background since I started is extensive. I put my 1st mixtape out in 2006. I started a group called Allegheny Dough Boys in 2008. My team and my affiliate team Street Spittas Ent won best new artist in the 1st Philly Hip Hop Awards, from 06-2012 I have put out 5 solo mixtapes, and 5 group projects. By the time YouTube and social media came out I was slow to transition because I was really in the streets. I started managing artists and had 3 of them nominated in a Hip-Hop award show in New York. I had meetings with labels and executives, but I always wanted to be independent, I took time off here and there to handle life situations and start new ventures, but music has always been my passion so as of this present date I’m all in. I have music out on all platforms. I also have a film role in a movie on YouTube called Trick No Treat directed by Anthony Reed Jr and many more projects. Karléh BRINGS THE VIBES WITH DEBUT EP ‘CLICHÉ’ OUT NOW!!
R&B is not dead! In recent years, the genre has actually grown to highlight a new line-up of vocal sensations both mainstream and upcoming. Karléh is 1 of the standout girls coming with the vibes, music, artistry, and talent. After the successful release of her debut EP, the artist is currently traveling the world performing and growing her fan base. I write songs about love, life, and relationships. The topics I write about aren’t new, in a sense they are cliché because they’ve been visited time and time again. But with my fresh perspective I put a new spin on these topics and welcome new listeners to tap in with their emotions. Q. What was your personal favorite song on the project and why? My favorite song is Be Fr. It started out as a freestyle and developed into something really relatable. I feel like I’m entering a new era of really talking my shit unapologetically. Q. How do you feel wrapping up a new chapter in your career with the new music? What milestones have you found out about yourself? I feel super accomplished. Some of the songs were recorded years ago while others were recorded just days before the release. It’s rewarding to see my growth as a writer over time and to see how much I’ve also grown as a business woman in this industry. Q. What do you want to say to your fans? I want you all to be open to feeling your feelings. Right now we live in a society that is normalizing cheating and toxic relationships. Known for his energetic stage presence, the artist only needs to hit the stage 1 time and he is sure to pick up many new fans after he leaves the stage. The rapper is looking to drop an album sometime next year and for now is open to working with other producers and artists on joint projects. The flourishing rapper is quite optimistic about his career and works on his craft daily. Rather he is recording new music in the studio or traveling out of town to music showcases, he’s no stranger to hard work and going after what he believes in. His single Outlaw Anthem showcases exactly what he can bring to the rap game. His single ‘I’m Back’ shows just how hard the rapper really is in the booth.
