Rapper D.O.A. hits the scene with a fresh new single right in time for the summer season when everyone is outside. He has always branded himself on having his own lane and being the greatest to ever do it! As an artist we often take time out to find ourselves, live life, deal with challenges, even work to make more money to fund our career and these are all some of the obstacles that he has managed to hurdle over. Over the span of 10 years, he has been in the music lane horning in on his sound and finding his lane.
After taking a break for the final time in 2021, D.O.A. decided to take his career seriously whole heartedly, and promised himself to never give up on his craft. A pivotal moment in his artistry came when he realized that many musicians are not making music for the art of creating and are coming into the rap game copying off what is deemed as ‘popular’.
“I am ME, I’m Hip-Hop, I’m music.”
Heavily influenced by the greats before him such as Biggie, Pac, Nas, Nipsey Hussel and J Cole, D.O.A. is looking to carve his name in the music history book and really make an imprint on his brand. The artist is on his very focused journey looking to make his own lane for himself.
His latest single ‘Stressed Out’ features him serving authentic Hip-Hop while rapping about survival, making it through challenges, obstacles, pain, and the successful feeling of overcoming. The song has a beautiful melodic beat with the artist pouring his heart into the track giving his fans a testimony that he went through. The song is relatable for anyone who has been down and had to push through to get back to better days. He mentions that the song is especially about individuals who feel boxed in due to being a visionary but maybe confined to a job or life not quite what you desire.
