Thanks to DIY uploads, artists taking charge of their own music streams, booking their own shows, with the help of social media and building a loyal fan base today you can do it 100% solo without a record label behind you.

When you think of the diversity in the Hip-hop Industry you cannot help but notice the rise of dope rap artists on the scene in Florida. The beach life is not the only wave to chase in the 305, and the music industry is full of opportunity for upcoming artists. All the major cities there have something to offer, and Miami is in the forefront with helping artists go mainstream.  J Staxx saw the opportunities that independent artists are accelerating from in their careers and in 2018 he decided to take his music seriously. With the support of his team, they began a movement of getting him seen and launching a budding career. He also mentions that his name relates to money and being successful, thus calling himself ‘J Staxx’. . When you listen to a J Staxx track you are getting a story and lyrics, where he is expressing the trials of surviving in the trenches. He is an artist that gives you substance, and really takes the time to put meaning behind what he is rapping about. The trap melodies he delivers are poetic and laced with bars of true-life situations he has experienced.

. What started out with him freestyling with his friends, evolved into 1 day taking it seriously and wanting to begin recording full songs. He believes his purpose is to make music and inspire people to chase their dreams. The soft-spoken artist is a deep thinker. He is working on not over-thinking his career choices and putting all his energy into the music. He grew up listening and being inspired by the Hot Boys and Cash Money who both heavily influenced his music. He is a spiritual man and says 2 of the major things he cannot live without are money and women, but do not get it twisted he is as humble as he is talented. J Staxx stays to himself when he is in his creative zone and prefers being in a peaceful place while working on his craft.  After living in Connecticut and Boston for a while before relocating to Florida, he has experienced the high and lows of the music styles in the north and the south giving him a culture advantage. Over the next 2 years he wants to consistently keep dropping music and growing his fan base. J Staxx is in the studio several days during the week and is dropping a new project weekly. When he is not recording, he spends his time in the gym staying fit and ready to tour. His plans for 2021 is to keep releasing new projects and he is willing to work with all types of artists and genres as long as the talent is there. @j_staxx
