Atlanta’s Finest Shows Out For Gervonta Davis VS Yuriokis Gamboa Fight!!

Chances are if you were any type of someone in the 404 you were either ring side, or seated sitting in your best for the boxing match this past weekend in Atlanta. Two-time Super Featherweight World Champion ‘Gervonta Davis’, aka ‘Tank’ is the world champion once again! He successfully moved up to 135 pounds, and his dangerous, trademark left-hand was on display all night, which no doubt brought the fans in a raucous State Farm arena to their feet!  Davis had the crowd amazed as he showed out for a crowd of 14,129 people. He won the WBA World Lightweight title with a twelfth-round TKO over Yuriorkis Gamboa.

Davis believed his performance was a C-plus, but it was still enough to defeat Gamboa, and drop him with a short left cross with 1:45 left in the second round. Gamboa lasted until the twelfth round showing determination, bravery, and a will to succeed. Gamboa showed fabulous character in hanging on every round, but the tone of the fight had grown monotonous. Davis had managed to win almost every second of every round!!

The stars of Black Hollywood also filled the arena dressed to the nine’s and beyond. It was a dope scene for the city, and great opportunity to get out have some fun, and enjoy a good old fashioned fight. On the scene was the self- proclaimed ‘King’, Ti, and his wife Tiny. Love and Hip Hop Atlanta’s Rasheeda and Kirk Frost was also present with Real Housewife cast members Kandi Burruss, and husband Todd. Take a peek at the pics, and feel free to comment your opinions on the battle below.

I found a amazing podcast from ‘Tha boxing voice’ as well.
