Details are spinning wild in Indianapolis with video of the death of a unidentified black male, being shot by a police officer.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is under intense pressure to immediately investigate the death of a young black male fatally shot by one of their officers. The police said the man was killed after shooting at an officer who chased him for driving recklessly. The man apparently recorded a video several minutes long during the pursuit. In Indianapolis, a police officer shot and killed an innocent Black man who the authorities said had fired toward the officer. The entire encounter appears to have been captured on Facebook live. The police department in the district said it’s chief and deputy chief had both been driving home, when one of them noticed the man driving reckless. They attempted to pull him over. The man never stopped and so a chase pursued. 5 minutes later, another officer ran after the man once spotting him park his car behind a building and fleeing on foot. After a short chase, the officer shot and killed him. Chris Bailey Assistant Chief of police, told the reporters at the scene that the driver had fired first at the officer. It was also noted the officer and victim were the only ones at the scene. The victim’s name has not yet been released to the public.
