Jamaican dancehall reggae artist, Louie Rankin has passed away. Louie died on September 30, 2019 in a car accident in Ontario, Canada. Also known as the original ‘Don Dada’, Louie was born in St. Thomas, Jamaica. His most successful song was the single ‘Typewriter’, released in 1992. The Grammy award winning music veteran was also seen in the hip-hop classic “Belly”, as ‘Ox’, and starred in “Shottas”, alongside Ky-Mani Marley, Dj Khaled, and Spragga Benz. He was also a DJ on the dance hall scene. It isn’t clear exactly what happened in the car accident, but his official twitter page has posted and confirmed the sad news online. Fans worldwide have begun to share the condolences for his passing. We wish his family blessings, love and peace in this time of sadness.
