Philadelphia houses some of the most talented MC’s to ever step into the rap game. Rather we are going ‘new school’ with the biggest out right now Lil Uzi Vert or going back a little bit to the Cassidy rap battle era, Hip-Hop has been a delightful activity in the 215. With the rise of social media and content creation, more artists are starting to become a highlight or recognized for their talents. Although he is a native of the city, Ron Murrdah is now coming up in those conversations when we mention who’s having the ‘motion’ in the streets. Talented all around the board, the entertainment mogul is growing his imprint in the Tri-State’s music scene, respectfully.

Owning his very creative all-purpose studio in the city, Ron is welcoming to working with independent artists looking to fine tune their music or just record some new bops! He is also presenting a new platform for himself where he will be cooking up dope fresh content every Monday!

Check out his Q&A below.

1.      How do you feel being a content creator / self-made entrepreneur coming from Philadelphia?

I feel blessed to be able to do what I love knowing where I came from. I feel inspired to help others.

2.      Why did you decide to start Murrdah Season Mondays?

I decided to start Murrdah Season Mondays to create a buzz for the summer, to highlight some of my latest moves in the business. It started out as Instagram Freestyle every Monday and grew to where it’s at now!

3.      What has been the most rewarding aspect of creating your own lane?

What’s so rewarding about creating your own lane is that it’s no competition. Your job is to grow and progress. It’s no rush, you can take small steps and figure it out. It definitely takes hard work and dedication, but nothing’s more satisfying than when you see the outcome of your work, the fruits of your labor. Being able to have an idea and really bring it to life is priceless.

4.      Tell us the services you offer and how people can contact you!

I provide every service from DJ, party promo, artist management, social media marketing & promo, I also have a juice company Philly Phruit, so I offer jobs as well. I also help people buy and sell properties… Lastly, I do an event just for the youth called colors ‘4 kidz’.

5.      Tell us why you’re the best choice for indie creatives in the Tri – State?

I’m the best choice because I work hard every day for mine! That’s why they call me P. Litty, the hardest working man in the game … Also, I’m unselfish. I always extend my hand to help and support anyone in need on any level.

6.      Describe your background in the music business?

My background since I started is extensive. I put my 1st mixtape out in 2006. I started a group called Allegheny Dough Boys in 2008. My team and my affiliate team Street Spittas Ent won best new artist in the 1st Philly Hip Hop Awards, from 06-2012 I have put out 5 solo mixtapes, and 5 group projects.  By the time YouTube and social media came out I was slow to transition because I was really in the streets.

I started managing artists and had 3 of them nominated in a Hip-Hop award show in New York. I had meetings with labels and executives, but I always wanted to be independent, I took time off here and there to handle life situations and start new ventures, but music has always been my passion so as of this present date I’m all in. I have music out on all platforms. I also have a film role in a movie on YouTube called Trick No Treat directed by Anthony Reed Jr and many more projects. I’ve made cameos in videos like Benny the Butcher & Kp in The Streets, Eness video Shoot My Shot, Capone from CNN, Hell Rell and more.
