Mötley – “Saviör”

Karl Gregory, also known as Motlëy, is originally from San Jose, CA and presently resides in Kentucky. Motlëy grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi and his sound is a unique blend of west coast vibes with southern influence. He describes his style as “new age alternative rap / rock” which was developed through his wide range of musical tastes.

“I was inspired by the greats starting as early as Michael Jackson and Tupac with later influences like Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. I grew up listening to a lot of rock music such as Green Day, Escape the Fate, and Fall Out Boy.”

Karl began writing and recording during high school around 2011-2012 and began taking it seriously in 2014.

“My style was created from just being myself, thinking outside the box, being free and trying different things with my voice. I don’t believe in being one dimensional so I take music wherever I want it to go, whether it be rock, country, alternative, or rap I adapt. That’s what makes me Motlëy.”

Motlëy’s debut mixtape “What Is Love?” was released in 2020 and featured the standout song and accompanying video for “Love No More.”

“The thing I love the most is the fact that it can be used to help people,” he shares. “It’s the one thing that allows me to escape when I need to get away. It’s the one thing that makes the most sense to me and I’m in love with it.”

Motlëy is an experienced performer and has shared the stage with Roscoe Dash, Travis Porter, Kevin Gates, and more. “Meeting Tay Money was really dope too,” he says.

Motley is currently entering the biggest part of his musical journey yet with the release of his new lyric video “Savior” and backing support from Splash Life Booking.
