Rather you were looking at the best dressed for the evening, or following the festivities on social media, without a doubt this year’s event was a WIN. Despite the tragic death of Nipsey Hustle, his family gave a moving speech, and with the help of the country the “Marathon Continues”. Tyler Perry was honored for his amazing and impressive work as a African American film director and Mary J. Blige shut the stage down with a dope performance.

There’s always your stand out artists who are upcoming and making all the necessary moves to be successful. Straight from Philadelphia to the blue carpet was Tre Prada. His fans are ride or die’s who support all the projects he put out from music to short films. His latest single ‘Don’t Tell’ is definitely a summer bop. This a true Phila artist who displays his love and pride for his city creatively in his music. Since his early days when his music was being streamed on music choice network via Cable TV, his steady work ethic and original personality has helped secure his seat at the table.

Below is a short commentary about his BET experience this past weekend.

“Being at the BET awards was very inspirational and the energy in the room was powerful with just an overall vibe. Hearing Tyler Perry’s speech lit a fire in me, and put a lot of things into perspective for me. My favorite part was Mary j Blige‘s performance. Her energy and her influence is iconic! Hearing all her hits brought back so many memories. My EP is on the way, But my single “ DON’T TELL “ is currently streaming on all major platforms, and the music video is streaming on YouTube and music choice’.
