Saints Quarterback Drew Brees named Dummy of the Day!

With so much going on in America it was only right we give you a ‘Dummy of the Day’ post. This week has been very challenging with the protests underway in light of the senseless murder of African American citizen George Floyd. The entire world has erupted in anger, frustration, rage, sadness, depression, anxiety, pain, fatigue, and sorrow with the blatant racism still existing in the country today. George Floyd’s death has sparked opinions from celebrities and even other police officers who weighed in on the matter. 1 person that made headlines was NFL player Drew Brees. The New Orleans Saints quarterback made past comments that kneeling during the National Anthem was disrespectful. His comments were in reference to former NFL player Colin Kaepernick’s infamous stance of kneeling during the National Anthem in awareness of racism/police brutality on people of color.  Fast forward to present day and Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was arrested and now charged with 2nd degree murder for ‘kneeling’ on the neck of a unarmed, arrested black man who later died as a result. The media surrounding the case has been saddening to follow, but luckily racism is now out on the forefront and more Americans are being able to witness and admit there is white privilege, and hate towards people of color. Killer Mike has been very vocal for the Black community as well lately. He gave a moving speech with Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms present, that has catapulted him to the forefront as a voice for the people. Here is what he had to say on the matter. Keep Drew and other ignorant people who don’t know racism is alive on the Prayer List!
