When you’re a flourishing artist in the music business the hardest mission to accomplish is finding your ‘break out’ single! Rather you are a rapper, singer, or country artist you need a hit that will introduce you to the masses. For K Dubb his kryptonite is his summer banger ‘Paul Walker’.
Born in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Atlanta at the age of 3 years old, he grew up living in various parts of the city in a single parent home making the best out of life. His record label, Haitian Born King gives him an upper edge over other artists since everything is done in-house production wise and his Haitian roots give him a fresh culture shock in the Hip-Hop industry with his musical taste.
His introduction into the rap game came during a time of distress! A few years ago, he was stabbed in a major artery. After spending 5 days in the ICU, he started recording at a local Atlanta studio with A1 Supergroup! The traumatic experience caused an idea to click in his head to begin writing music as a form of expression. K Dubb has been rubbing shoulders with the gate keepers in the Atlanta music scene, and he currently has a lot of eyes / labels watching his footsteps. As of now the artist is independent and building the business side of his music strategically, making sure everything is in place!
The single off his much-anticipated album ‘No Features’ is an excellent body of work that he is beginning to see major recognition from. The album features 6 tracks of lyrical creativity, melodic beats and does the job of showcasing his overall range as an artist. In particular Paul Walker which of course is named after the late actor who had an untimely demise, plays a big role with marketing such a risky title. The actor Paul Walker was well known and loved, so his fans taking to the song really helped elevate his street credibility. Not a stranger to creativity, he pulled out all the vibes with creating the visuals. The video features high priced cars, a dope entourage and reenacts a Hip-Hop passion for drag racing. With the single now making radio spins throughout the south and continuing to pick up motion, the industry is sure to catch a lot more heat from HBK KDubb this summer. He is currently touring his music around the south and growing his fanbase.
His stage presence is one of the best aspects about him! It is one thing to be a great recording artist, but when you can master being a performer it allows you to truly connect with your fans who come out to see you. When he hits the stage, he is giving nothing but electrifying energy and good vibes. Once you see him perform live if you were a on the fence fan you instantly become a longtime supporter after his show.
